We currently support:

• AU (Audio Unit) for DAWs like Logic Pro and other AU-compatible hosts on macOS.
• VST3 for DAWs like Reaper, Ableton Live, Cubase, Studio One, and many others on macOS and Windows.
• AAX for Pro Tools on macOS and Windows.

All supported formats for each plugin are listed in the Included Plugins section above and on individual product pages.

By default, and unless you choose a different location during installation, plug-ins are placed in these standard folders.

macOS

• AAX: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/
• AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
• VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/

Windows

• AAX: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\
• VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

Note: Windows does not use AU. Some installers may offer an alternate destination, but the folders above are the usual defaults.

Your 420 Plugin Suite membership is tied to your account and license, not just one computer.

You can activate your license on up to 3 machines (for example: studio desktop, laptop, and a second room).

Licenses are validated over the internet. When you open a 420 plugin with a working connection, it will automatically phone home and refresh its validity period.

You can then work offline for about 7 days before another quick online check is needed to keep everything fresh.

If your subscription ends, your license will eventually stop refreshing and plugins will no longer run in full mode until you resubscribe.
