1. Service & Access

420 Plugins is a subscription that grants you access to a suite of audio plugins and related downloads while your subscription is active (“Service”). Your license remains valid for the duration of your active subscription term. If you cancel, your license will remain valid until the end of your then-current billing period (monthly or annual, depending on your plan), after which it will become inactive unless you renew.

If we are unable to successfully collect payment (for example, due to a failed payment method), your access to the Service and your license may be suspended or disabled until payment is successfully completed.

An account is created for you at checkout. You may log in at /account/ to manage subscription status, payment method, personal information, and machine activations.

2. Free Trial

New subscribers receive a 30-day free trial. At the end of the trial, your subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly plan unless you cancel before the trial ends. You may use the full trial period after canceling; access ends when the trial concludes if not renewed. Trials cannot be chained or reused to circumvent payment.

3. Billing, Auto-Renewal & Cancellations

• Price & currency: USD $4.20 per month or $42 per year.
• Auto-renewal: After the trial, the plan renews monthly on your signup anniversary (processing time-of-day may vary by payment processor).
• Cancellation: You can cancel any time from /account/. If you cancel during the free trial, you retain access until the trial ends.
• No refunds after trial: Because a no-cost 30-day trial is provided, we do not offer refunds once the trial period has ended.
• Non-payment: Failure to collect payment may result in immediate suspension or termination of access and license deactivation.

4. License Scope & Machine Activations

While subscribed, we grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the plugins solely for your own audio production projects and related output. You may install on up to 3 machines at a time. You can manage activations from your account. Resale, rent, timeshare, or sublicensing is not permitted. Reverse engineering, decompilation, circumvention of technical protection, or competitive benchmarking disclosure is prohibited where applicable law allows.

Works you create using the plugins, including commercial releases, are fully yours to monetize with no attribution required.

5. Software Updates & Compatibility

Supported platforms: macOS and Windows; formats: AAX, AU and VST3. We aim to maintain installers for prior OS versions and deliver updates to support new OS releases. Updates are provided while subscribed; updates are not automatic—you’ll be notified via email/site and can download the latest installers from your account. Prior installers are archived and available.

6. Acceptable Use

• No trial chaining or attempts to avoid payment after the trial ends.
• No unauthorized sharing of installers, license keys, or account access.
• No use to develop or train competing products using our code, assets, or DSP.
• No unlawful, harmful, or infringing use.

7. Intellectual Property

The plugins, artwork, documentation, and all related materials are owned by 420 Plugins and its licensors. Except for the limited license granted above, we retain all rights, title, and interest.

8. Telemetry & Privacy

We collect a machine fingerprint to administer activations, prevent trial abuse, and protect the Service. We also store your email communication preferences. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

9. Support, Availability & Offline Grace

Support is provided via email at admin@420plugins.com, typically within 1–2 business days (non-binding target). While we strive for high availability, outages and maintenance may occur. To mitigate temporary connectivity issues, plugins can operate offline for up to 7 days after their most recent license validation (“offline grace”), after which a successful validation is required to continue use.

10. Prices, Taxes & Changes

Prices are shown in USD and currently exclude GST/HST/QST/VAT; we may begin collecting applicable taxes in the future based on your billing location. We may change pricing or features with reasonable notice (typically 30 days) via email and/or in-product messaging. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE AND SOFTWARE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. PLEASE USE THE 30-DAY TRIAL TO EVALUATE COMPATIBILITY AND FITNESS FOR YOUR WORKFLOW.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY (OR USD $50 IF NO PAYMENTS WERE MADE).

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 420 Plugins from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

14. Export & Sanctions

You may not use or access the Service where prohibited by applicable export control or sanctions laws, or if you are on any government-maintained restricted party list.

15. Age & Payment

The Service may be used by individuals under 18; however, payment must be made by a parent or legal guardian via an accepted method (e.g., credit card or PayPal).

16. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide reasonable advance notice (typically 30 days) by email and/or in-product messaging. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Miscellaneous

These Terms (together with pages referenced herein, including our Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and 420 Plugins regarding the Service. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign or transfer your rights without our prior written consent.
